‘It’s not fun this film’: Why Tom Holland believes Spiderman: No Way Home will be brutal for fans
The highly-anticipated Marvel movie is going to be a hard watch, according to Tom (Picture:Rex)
Spiderman No:Way Home is set to be the biggest film of the year, however, Tom Holland insists fans aren’t ready for what they’re about to see.
The Marvel film, which will star Zendaya reprise her role as MJ and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
The 25-year-old actor, who has a slight tendency to spoil big secrets within the MCU, has been extra careful in revealing what fans can expect from the third chapter.
However, in an interview Total Film Magazine, he has admitted that this particular film is ‘dark’ and ‘sad.’
‘What people will be really surprised about is that it’s not fun, this film,’ he explained.
‘You’re going to see characters that you love go through things that you would never wish for them to go through. And I was just really excited to kind of lean into that side of Peter Parker.’

However, it’s not all doom and gloom as the Cherry star also described parts of the film are the ‘best work’ they’ve done.
The pair’s upcoming project will see Peter Parker deal with the fallout of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) publicly announcing his identity at the end of the second chapter.
It was previously rumoured that Andrew Garfield, another former Peter Parker, would be appearing in No Way Home alongside previous MJ Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, but both actors have remained tight-lipped over their cameo appearance.

In December last year, it was confirmed that Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina would be reprising their roles as, respectively, Electro from Andrew’s time as the hero, and Doc Ock, from Tobey’s era. Plus, we know that Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin is about to make a comeback.
With a line-up like this, Tom is absolutely right, we aren’t ready for this!
Spider-Man: No Way Home is in cinemas on December 17.
