Anthony Davis on Facing Alex Caruso and the Bulls: ‘Who? I Don’t Know That Guy’

After an embarrassing loss at home, the Los Angeles Lakers bounced back in great fashion. Taking down the San Antonio Spurs, they improve to 8-6 for the season. Coming off a beat down, this was a must win game and the Lake Show did their job. Notably, Anthony Davis stepped up once again in the absence of LeBron James, as he had a big night.

Davis saw a change in his role as the Lakers started the new season. He shifted back to the center position with the addition of Russell Westbrook. Being one of the best big men in the league, Davis has been showing out this season. He was in his bags against the Spurs going off for 34 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. However, that hasn’t accounted for team success as the Lakers have not lived up to expectations.

Recently, after the game, AD was asked about facing the Bulls next. He was also asked about a former Laker and Davis had a hilarious answer.

Anthony Davis doesn’t remember Alex Caruso

While the Lakers have had a tough ride this season, 2020 was a whole different story. With a new formed duo of AD and LeBron winning the chip, the Lakers were impressive. However, an underrated factor in their team was Alex Caruso. After a switch in teams, AD seems to not know who Caruso is. However, that was all for jokes and he addressed just how important Caruso was to the Lakers .

Anthony Davis said: “Who? I don’t know that guy (laughs). Nah, it’s gonna be fun playing against AC. All the stuff he brought to our team to win a championship and to our team last year. He was a big part of what we did here.”

Alex did play a big part while on the Lakers. While he was freaking athletic, his playmaking and defense were one of his stand outs. Caruso added great strength off the bench and played a vital role in their championship. Even last year, despite going out in the playoffs, his presence was crucial.
