Death of Chris Daughtry’s stepdaughter, 25, ‘being treated as homicide’

Chris Daughtry’s stepdaughter’s death is reportedly being treated as a homicide.
Hannah Price, 25, was found dead at her Nashville home last week, with Daughtry cancelling his tour dates in the wake of the news.
Fentress County police are conducting an investigation into Price’s death, and according to TMZ, police told her family that her death was a homicide.
The publication reported that Price’s boyfriend Bobby Jolly was arrested and taken to Fentress County Jail on the same day that Price’s body was found, but detectives have not stated if he is a person of interest or a suspect in Hannah’s death.
Price’s mother Deanna, who is married to Daughtry, said that her daughter had sustained injuries prior to her death.
In an Instagram tribute, she wrote: ‘My first born. I love you endlessly Hannah. Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of our daughter Hannah.
‘We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken.’

Price and her 23-year-old brother Griffin are Deanna’s children from a previous relationship, while Deanna is also mum to 10-year-old twins Adalynn and Noah with Daughtry.
The rocker married Deanna in 2000, when Price was four years old.
Price’s biological father Randall Scott Price died by suicide in March 2018.
Daughtry, the rock band fronted by the former American Idol star, cancelled their upcoming shows following Price’s death, releasing a statement reading: ‘Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been postponed.
‘The Daughtry family thanks you for your understanding and respectfully asks for privacy during this very difficult time.
‘Further details will be made available at a later date. The investigation into this tragic death is still ongoing.’

Daughtry, 41, has since released a personal statement, saying he is ‘devastated’.
The It’s Not Over singer write on Instagram: ‘I am still processing the last 24 hours. I am absolutely devastated and Heartbroken.
‘I just recently in the last week lost my mother to cancer but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and I was processing it privately. We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family.

‘Thank you for all the kind words and condolences, They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time to be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this series of devastating losses. Hannah, I love you and I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply.’
Price is believed to have been a mother-of-two, with her youngest daughter Lilly turning one in February.
