Serena Williams Reveals What It Means to Share Her Father’s Story With the Entire World

Venus and Serena Williams have been two of the greatest tennis players in the history of tennis. The two rose up from adversity and conquered the tennis world with their extraordinary talent. Today, they continue to be a source of inspiration to thousands of youngsters.

However, both Venus and Serena Williams wouldn’t have achieved so much success if their father, Richard Williams, hadn’t supported them in their childhood. Thus, in order to recognize his efforts, HBO is coming up with a film on him and renowned Hollywood star, Will Smith, is playing his character in the movie.

Serena Williams is excited to share the story of her father with the entire world

In a recent interview with Variety, Serena revealed how she feels about sharing the story of her father’s life with the entire world. The 23-time Grand Slam champion looked quite happy and mentioned that it is a great feeling for her.

“Yeah, It’s so cool. We get to share with the world everything that my father means to me and our family and all that he’s done for us. And so, not only my mom and our sisters, everyone was such a part of it. So, it’s kinda cool to kinda see that come to life,” said Serena in the interview.

Serena’s extremely excited about ‘King Richard’ and also gave lovely reviews of the biopic. Apart from being a central character in the story, she is also contributing to the film, as she is one of the executive producers.

When is ‘King Richard’ hitting the theatres?

In less than a week, fans will be able to watch ‘King Richard’ on the big screen. The film will officially hit the theatres on November 19, 2021.
