Tilly Ramsay is winning over Strictly Come Dancing viewers with her performances this year – but it’s not the only show she’s doing well on at the moment.

The 20-year-old was left close to tears after she made it through to the Celebrity MasterChef Australia final, after surviving a double elimination on Monday.

Tilly has some big boots to fill after getting some gastronomic inspiration from her dad Gordon, and she’s doing him proud in the competition.

She will take on fellow finalists fashion designer Collette Dinnigan and footballer Nick Riewoldt for the title and $100,000 [£55,000] prize money for charity.

Tilly made it through to the next round after cooking up a pasta dish with a runny egg yolk in this week’s episode.

‘So I’m thinking of making spinach pasta with a herb filling and an egg yolk. It’s going to be a tough one because you’ve got to get a whole egg yolk into the middle of your pasta and cook it without it bursting,’ she told the judges.

Thankfully, she managed to pull it off successfully, and chef Jock Zonfrillo told her that it was ‘absolutely perfect’.

Moved by the feedback she received, she held her face to hold back tears and said: ‘I feel emotional!’

Co-star Rebecca Gibney, who left the show on Monday, told Tilly after she progressed to the next stage: ‘It’s okay, you can cry!’

The final of MasterChef Australia takes place next week – will Tilly be named champion?

Meanwhile, Gordon Ramsay was present during Sunday’s Strictly Come Dancing to comfort Tilly after her routine, sweetly holding her hand as she and her partner Nikita Kuzmin jetted off for their scores.

Last week, social media star Tilly and professional dancer Nikita landed in the bottom two with Olympian Adam Peaty and his partner Katya Jones.

After three of the judges chose to save Tilly and Nikita, this week they returned for their comeback performance, delivering an upbeat Quickstep to I Won’t Dance by Damita Jo.

Celebrity Masterchef Australia continues next Monday on Ten.
