When is the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final? Date, time and all the information you need

Strictly Come Dancing has been on fine form this year, and there’s still a few weeks left before the final.

With seven celebrities remaining after Dragon’s Den investor Sara Davies was eliminated on Sunday night’s result show, there’s a lot on the line with likes of AJ Odudu, John Whaite, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Rhys Stephenson in the running.

The final is set to air on BBC One on Saturday, December 18, with Dan Walker, Tilly Ramsay and Tom Fletcher also still in the competition.

Of course, not everyone will make it past Musicals Week, but Rhys Stephenson and his pro partner Nancy Xu can be confident after finding themselves top of the leaderboard over the weekend with a perfect score of 40.

John Whaite and Johannes Radebe followed closely behind with 38, while Sara Davies and Aljaz Skorjanec were eliminated despite scoring 32.

They were followed by Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden (30), the duos of Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin and Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova (both 29) and AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington (28).

The latest odds on Monday have Rose as the overwhelming favourite at 1/4, with John as her closest competition at 9/2.

AJ is still in the running at 8/1 despite a disappointing weekend, but McFly singer Tom finds himself some way behind the three at 18/1.

He’s followed by Rhys at 40/1, with Dan at 66/1 and poor Tilly with odds of 100/1.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Robsbottom said: ‘Rose Ayling-Ellis is the overwhelming 1/4 odds-on favourite to win Strictly this year, those odds shortening even further from 3/10 before her breathtaking routine on Saturday night.

‘At the start, it was a three horse race between her, AJ Odudu and John Whaite, but as the competition has continued she has raced ahead with her performances continually wowing the judges and viewers alike.

‘At present, her closest competition is Whaite, who all the way back at 9/2, suggesting that punters think the EastEnders actress already has one hand on the coveted glitterball trophy.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.35pm on BBC One.
