DaniLeigh was reportedly charged with two counts of simple assault following her argument with ex-boyfriend DaBaby.

The former couple got into a heated exchange while DaniLeigh, full name Danielle Leigh Curiel, fed their three-month-old daughter over the weekend.

DaBaby started an Instagram Live during one of their heated arguments where DaniLeigh was heard claiming that the Rockstar rapper had hardly been around since their daughter was born and that he was now trying to make her leave his apartment.

DaniLeigh was also seen trying to block the camera’s view of their child by putting up a pillow as a barrier.

It has now emerged that Charlotte-Mecklenburg PD officers responded to a domestic assault call for service at a property on November 14 at around 11:59pm.

DaBaby, real name Jonathan Kirk, was said to be the victim and claimed he had been assaulted by DaniLeigh. The 29-year-old rapper was referred to the Magistrate’s Office to pursue charges against the singer.

According to Rolling Stone and TMZ, a separate incident also took place on November 15 at around 9:35am when officers responded to a disturbance at the same home where DaBaby told police that DaniLeigh had assaulted him.

A statement from the police department said: ‘As a result of the investigation, Curiel was served with a Criminal Summons for Simple Assault.

‘Officers also obtained additional information that led them to charge Curiel with a second count of Simple Assault from the incident on November 14.’

During one of the incidents, DaniLeigh, 26, livestreamed from her own Instagram account and was seen being asked to leave the rapper’s home by police officers.

DaBaby then stated in a lengthy post: ‘I don’t want no charges pressed or nothing I just want her peacefully removed, which they need to hurry up [and] do as we speak.

‘I ain’t even want that behavior on display but it’s OK, man this too shall pass, it’s all good.’

The Suge rapper also claimed he was trying to remove himself from the ‘hostile’ behaviour on display as he said: ‘Based on my reputation, with multiple threats of setting up an internet scheme and a person refusing to not let me go… me and somebody else here knew to record her.’

‘I don’t beat on and yelled at and chased around like one of them fatal love attraction type girls [sic]’, he continued.

Shortly after, DaniLeigh posted her own statement claiming she had been living with DaBaby for three months when he asked her to leave unexpectedly.

She explained: ‘I tried to for my baby. But this ain’t the best situation at all, bro. I deserve so much better. I really do.

‘So I hope, God please, I pray this is the last situation because this s**t is not it. Every single time I come back into it. I completely love that man, but it’s not it.’

The Lil Baby singer continued: ‘It don’t matter how much you love someone, if it ain’t right, it’s never going to be right. You can’t force somebody to be ready for something they’re never going to be ready for.’
