All of the hand-gluing road-blockers got three or four months. Except one numbskull who bragged that he would do it all again instantly if he was set free.

He has six months to reflect, if he is able, on the wisdom of provoking a High Court judge. But police must learn from these sentences too.

Breaching a nationwide court order banning such disruption on our major roads is a serious offence we now know merits prison.

So stop treating these selfish morons like well-meaning churchgoers, drag them off our motorways instantly and lock them up.

COP26 showed how much of a lead this Tory Government is trying to give the world on the environment. Insulate Britain ignore all that. Why?
