Kyle Larson Breaks his Silence on the Much-Anticipated & Hyped 2022 Next-Gen NASCAR Car

With the 2021 season done and dusted, the focus will soon shift to the 2022 season. The upcoming season brings a whole host of changes, chief among them is the introduction of the Next Gen cars. Recently, reigning champion Kyle Larson spoke about the much-anticipated cars.

He said, “I’ve only ran a couple of hours in it at the Roval test. After the Roval, the next day we had to go back there and test a little bit. On the road course, it’s the only thing I can speak of. I thought it was a lot more fun to drive. You know, just the grip and the race car, the brakes, and stuff were really good.

“I’ll get to run another couple of hours on the Oval this Wednesday. So that will be my first time on that, we’ll see how it goes.”

Kyle Larson will want to enjoy his championship a little more

Of course, the driver is still coming off the high of winning his maiden Cup title. Larson has truly had a rollercoaster journey in the past two years, worthy of a movie or a Netflix show. From his fall from grace due to questionable actions in 2020 to his second chance with Hendrick Motorsports in 2021. Soon, he repaid the faith in him by delivering 10 wins and the title to the outfit.

Now, he will be hoping to adapt quickly to the new cars and regulations, so that he can do it again. The big question now is, will Larson be able to successfully defend his crown, or will we get a different winner?

Without a doubt, Kyle Larson has enjoyed driving the Next Gen cars. However, he and the others know those race situations will be a lot different and they will have to really bring their A-game.
