“I Would Love To See Chris Cyborg Come Back Over”– Miesha Tate Says Chris Cyborg Needs To Return to the UFC
Miesha Tate is a former UFC champion and is one of the best in the business. Ever since she made her MMA debut back in 2007, ‘Cupcake’ has been an absolute force. Tate has established herself in many MMA promotions apart from the UFC, such as StrikeForce and FCF.
Tate was also the former Strikeforce and UFC bantamweight champion. As of November 2021, ‘Cupcake’ is ranked eighth in the women’s bantamweight division. Her professional fight record stands at 19 wins and seven losses.
Recently, there have been many rumors going around that the UFC president, Dana White, is trying to kill the women’s featherweight division. But the current champion, Amanda Nunes, isn’t letting this happen. Recently, in the press conference ahead of her upcoming fight at UFC Vegas 43, Miesha Tate shared her thoughts on this.
Tate gave some exciting ideas that the UFC could use to save the women’s featherweight division. She said, “I like the 145-pound division. I would hate to see any division be cut from the UFC. We haven’t seen that done yet. I say, bring in Kayla Harrison and pump some life into the 145-pound division. Go all in. So, that would be what I would like to see happen.”

Obviously, you know Bellator has a good 145-pound division. I would be I would love to see Chris Cyborg come back over too, you know, at some point… There are talented women it’s starting to fill out right and as I said that if you build it they will come. So I don’t think we should give up on it just yet, or at all.”
What’s next for Miesha Tate?
Miesha Tate will return to UFC action this weekend at UFC Vegas 43. Before the fight got confirmed, many fans speculated that she will be competing in the featherweight division. However, Tate chose to fight in the division where she was once champion. She will be returning to the octagon after a win in her last fight over Marion Reneau.

‘Cupcake‘ will be taking on the Brazilian fighter, Ketlen Vieira, in a five-round slugfest at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas. Her upcoming fight could be very crucial for Miesha. If she can win this weekend, it could possibly guarantee her a shot at the title in her next fight.
