“RIP My G”: LeBron James and NBA World Express Shock After Rapper Young Dolph’s Untimely Demise

In a horrific piece of news, rapper-musician Young Dolph lost his life on Wednesday. The American artist was shot dead in Memphis, USA, as confirmed by the police. At the age of 36, Young Dolph was killed while he was in a local cookie shop. Following the occurrence, several NBA stars have paid their condolences via social media. One of them, was Lakers star LeBron James.

Born in Chicago, Adolph Robert Thornton was a renowned artist. According to reports, the young rapper was found dead after a car pulled up and an unknown identity shot him. Young Dolph was known for his hit number ‘Major’, and his album ‘Rich Slave’ was also on top of the Billboard 200 list back in 2020. Meanwhile, Thornton was known to numerous NBA stars, with James being one of the biggest names. Thus, the 17-time All-star expressed his grief when he heard about the news.

NBA world left in despair as LeBron James remembers Young Dolph

Back in 2017, LeBron had in fact shot with Young Dolph. Shooting for Audemars Piguet, the 4-time NBA champion danced to a song rapped by Dolph himself. After hearing about the artist’s passing, James took no time to send out his deepest condolences. In a recent social media post, LeBron said, “4 years ago on set shooting @audemarspiguet spot bumping my G Young Dolph!!! RIP. My G! Rest in Paradise! Been doing this since I was young, you can call me LeBron. UHHHHH HUUUUHHHHHH.”
