During their questionnaire, things took an interesting turn. When Alcaraz asked, “How old were you when you played your 1st tennis tournament ?” To the same, Rafa replied, “Hello! I think I played my 1st tennis tournament, which was among tennis clubs & I was representing my club, Tennis Manacor when I was 7 yo.”

Rafael Nadal is one of the nicest guys on the Tour

Undoubtedly, in conversation with his icon, Carlos would cherish that moment forever. Even though the question was very centric, Rafa’s answer was an honest one.

Coming to tennis, Alcaraz and Nadal faced for the first time in Madrid this season. Moreover, it happened to be the teenager’s birthday when he was up against the 20-time Major winner.

Nadal ended his season after a short stint in Washington. Sadly, he was still suffering from a foot injury and felt it was best to recover fully on the sidelines. As for Carlos, he won the ATP Next Gen Finals 2021 with ease. We wish both players the best of luck for the upcoming 2022 season.
