Even though Phil was competing on the PGA Tour, he decided to tee it up at the Champions Tour. Moreover, he won four events in just six starts and matched Jack Nicklaus in the fastest to four victories. Phil has won $252,590 on the senior tour and finished 12th in the Schwab Cup ranking in just six events.
However, the only thing that could hurt his ambitions is his irregularity on the Champions Tour and the fact that he hasn’t competed in a major event yet. But apart from that, there is nothing that can hold him back from winning the PGA Tour Champions Rookie of the Year award.
