DEAR DEIDRE: I DESPERATELY want to help my addict daughter but don’t know how to.
She is 24 and has a full-time job, but has got into lots of debt.
I’m so worried for her health and her future

I suspected she was taking drugs and she admitted using cocaine – taking it with her friends at the weekends.
She wants to stop but doesn’t think she can, saying cocaine makes her feel more confident. Without it she is shy and awkward.
I am a single mum, aged 55, and so worried for her health and her future.
She is a lovely girl but has always been very easily led.

I’ve bought some drug-testing kits online and have suggested testing her every week, but is this the right way to go about things?
I think she might need counselling but I don’t know how to access it.
