The competitive scene with Halo has made a comeback after the release of Halo Infinite. 343 Industries, the minds behind the game took the gaming community by storm after announcing the release of the game’s free-to-play Multiplayer on November 15. Halo Infinite is a title that players have been eagerly been waiting for since its announcement in 2018. In fact, the game has made several improvements during the course of its development cycle, which has again pleased players.

343 Industries dropped an update for the next version of the Championship Series merely a day after the game’s multiplayer launch. There is a LAN event already planned for December 17 in North Carolina. And there will be a large number of popular eSport entities present as well.

This can quite possibly indicate the rising of the game’s competitive scene again. Halo Waypoint, the blog for all things regarding the game revealed what it had in store. This includes a roadmap as well.

The blog also laid down a framework for the classification of players into different categories. These are:

For an industry as big as the eSports industry, there is one primary driving force behind such competitions. Money. The best of the best compete against one another for a cash prize. The last championship featured a prize pool of $1 Million.

The blog state stated that Halo Infinite’s prize pool would start at $3 Million. It is expected that the pool will increase through crowdfunding.

The maps and modes that are best optimized for this high level of play are as follows:
