Warning: spoilers ahead for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 3 episode 9.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 3 extra special guest judge Kathy Burke has let slip some secret intel from her time on the BBC Three, revealing the panel isn’t as comfortable as it might seem.

On last night’s episode of the competition, Vanity Milan, Ella Vaday, Kitty Scott-Claus and Krystal Versace competed in the semi-final, taking on a daunting comedy roast before wowing the judges with their best goddess-inspired runway looks.

Comedy legend Kathy proved a fantastic addition to the judging panel, delivering hilarious and thoughtful critiques to the remaining four queens, who have now been whittled down to three ahead of next week’s grand finale.

Following her stint on the show, the Absolutely Fabulous star revealed that it’s actually far more cold by the main stage than she realised.

‘Funniest thing about #DragRaceUK is they have heaters and blankets on the judges podium because the studio is freezing. I didn’t need them though because I eat carbs,’ she tweeted.

Drag Race UK fans loved Kathy’s sneaky insight into what it was like to appear on the show, with one person responding: ‘Further proof of hero status.’

‘When I thought I couldn’t love this absolute treasure anymore…’ someone else said, while another remarked: ‘My tweet of the month!! I too eat carbs, Kathy.’

Kathy also tweeted that she ‘had an absolute riot’ on the show, tweeting: ‘It was lovely making Michelle and Ru’s dream come true by finally meeting me. Spreading love everywhere I go, kids.’

After a savage comedy roast, which saw the semi-finalists perform in front of judges Michelle Visage, RuPaul, Alan Carr and Kathy as well as the eliminated queens from season three, Vanity and Krystal landed in the bottom two.

Following their lip sync performance to Hallucinate to Dua Lipa, Vanity became the latest queen told to sashay away, resulting in Krystal joining Ella and Kitty as the third finalist.

Having made a memorable mark on the competition, Vanity said that the ‘sky is the limit’ when looking forward to her future, saying that she’s going to ‘hit the ground running’.

‘There may be singles dropping, there may be albums dropping, there may be Broadway shows… Watch out. The storm is coming. And the booking fee is up!’ she teased.

The grand finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK airs next Thursday from 7pm on BBC Three on BBC iPlayer.
