Sebastian Vettel References Famous Fernando Alonso Quote On Being Asked About His ‘Inspector Seb’ Reputation
Sebastian Vettel is a 4-time world champion, but many refer to the German driver as “Inspector Seb”. The reason behind this is that Vettel does look at his rivals’ cars when they are at parc ferme.
The German driver wasn’t aware of the name he was given by the F1 community. And, when being asked about the Hamilton-Verstappen in parc ferme at the Brazilian Grand Prix, he referred to his rival, Fernando Alonso.
Sebastian Vettel didn’t know he was called “Inspector Seb”
The German driver has been spotted numerous times inspecting other drivers’ cars after a Grand Prix. Vettel was asked if he knew about his nickname, and what were his thoughts about the saga that unfolded at Interlagos.

Vettel jokes about touching Hamilton’s rear wing after the Brazilian GP
After the qualifying session, Max Verstappen touched the rear wing of Lewis Hamilton; this saw the Dutch driver receive fifty-thousand euros fine from the FIA.
After the chequered flag brought the race to an end, Vettel was sitting in his car in parc ferme and came on the radio to make a joke. He stated he would touch the rear wing of Hamilton.
He said, “I am going to touch Hamilton’s rear wing,” his race engineer replied, “Don’t you dare.Very expensive.” This made the entire Aston Martin garage burst into laughter. Vettel responded, “I am only joking, Ill try the front wing, maybe it’s twenty-five grand.”
The race at Interlagos didn’t go the German’s way, as he finished eleventh and went home empty-handed. Now with the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix this weekend at the Losail International Circuit, Vettel is hoping to redeem himself in Sunday’s race.
