WATCH: Red Bull Boss Horner Gets Testy & Calls Out Ex-F1 Champion for His Max Verstappen Bias

The Formula One circus is in Qatar for the upcoming  Grand Prix, but people are still discussing the incident between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at the Brazilian GP. One such person is ex-f1 driver, Damon Hill who feels Verstappen was over the limit at Interlagos.

During the race at Interlagos, Lewis was chasing Max for the lead of the race. The Dutch defended his lead, which resulted in both drivers going off track. At that time, the FIA didn’t investigate the incident, but Mercedes requested a Right to Review.

The FIA didn’t find any new evidence, but Hill feels that Verstappen is to blamed, and the decision from the governing body made things even more unclear. Red Bull Christian Horner fired shots at the 96′ world champion by not understanding why he is being harsh on Max.

The FIA didn’t penalize Verstappen for the Brazilian GP as they didn’t find any new evidence. However, Hill feels that Verstappen was responsible, and doesn’t understand the ruling made by the FIA. Horner doesn’t understand why Hill is after the Red Bull prodigy.

He said, “Well I don’t think It is. Don’t you think Bottas was over the limit? On the first lap do you think that Carlos Sainz was over the limit? You know they all instances, similar things happened. And I think there is so much proof that you place because it’s the two world championship protagonist. Going for Max clearly demonstrated in Mexico that you can past around the outside.”

“He made a clean pass into turn one round the outside. What you had in Brazil, Lewis is in vastly superior car, straight line speed wise. Max hanging on, in fact he hung on for fifty-eight laps. Nobody else can hang on for more than three against Lewis. Of course he was breaking right at the end, so did Lewis. If he had done what Checo did on the first lap, he had him undercut him, and let Max go wide. So I don’t quite understand why you are being so hard on Max,” Horner concluded.

Where did Verstappen in FP2?

After tasting defeat at the Brazilian Grand Prix, the Dutch driver was hoping to bounce back at the Qatar GP. Things got off to a good start this weekend for the Red Bull driver, as in the first practice session; he was on top of the timesheets.

However, in the second session of the day, he wasn’t able to match the pace that he displayed in FP1. Verstappen fell from first on the timesheet to third.
