‘Colby Was Talking That Sh*t’ – Diego Sanchez Says COVID Has Made Him Puke With Constant Fevers
Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez has been battling COVID-19 and the severity of the virus’ symptoms has baffled him. Sanchez posted a series of tweets regarding the same.
In one of these tweets, ‘The Nightmare’ wrote, “Shi**ing, coughing, pukin, constant hot cold fevers, pain in every joint, migraines, 5 days no sleep and constantly short of breath. My boy @luisbaboon warned me I had no idea it was this evil!!! @ColbyCovMMA was talking that sh*t saying it’s just a common cold.”

He had referred to Colby Covington’s comments, where ‘Chaos’ had dismissed Khamzat Chimaev.
Colby Covington had said, “You guys hype these guys up real quick, but let’s not forget that he was put down by the common cold.”

‘The Nightmare’ is, of course, too tough for the virus. Fans hope he recovers with no further complications and moves on to his next fighting promotion.
What’s next for Diego Sanchez?
Sanchez contracted the virus at a very unfavorable time. He is no longer with UFC and hence, was on the lookout to join another promotion. Considering his experience and impressive record, it won’t be difficult for him to land great offers.
As per rumors, Sanchez was in talks with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and seemed interested in facing Mike Perry.
This would be one interesting possible matchup that MMA fans might want to keep an eye out for.

Diego Sanchez’s last fight at UFC was against Jake Matthews in September 2020. Unfortunately, he lost the bout and has not fought since then. As the 39-year-old has competed in 44 MMA fights, he may even opt to call it a day from combat sports after his exertions.
Hence, even retirement could also be next for ‘The Nightmare’.
