“Everyone Throwing Me Under the Bus”: Nick Kyrgios Responds to Grigor Dimitrov’s Revelation About Him

Former World No.3 Grigor Dimitrov is one of the most talented and friendliest personalities on the tennis tour. But still, there are many off-the-court things tennis fans still don’t know about him. For this, the Bulgarian star provided some eye-opening rapid-fire answers. And interestingly, Aussie maverick Nick Kyrgios, who was also an answer to one of the questions, has responded to Dimitrov.

Notably, the 30-year-old revealed his favorite movie, place to visit, person to meet, and the last binged-watched show. But there was one question in the list that wasn’t specifically about Dimitrov, and he chose Kyrgios as its answer. And so, the Australian professional gave a fitting response to the same on his Instagram story.

Primarily, Dimitrov joined Top Court to share some of the lesser-known things about him. However, the interview first asked him about the biggest partier on tour.

At first, the Bulgarian star denied any knowledge about it but then decided to go with Kyrgios. “I have no idea. Probably, Nick Kyrgios. I’ll pick Nick, yeah.”

Consequently, the Australian tennis player took on Instagram and playfully rebelled against the answer. “Why [is] everyone throwing me under the bus,” Kyrgios wrote with laughter emoji.

Probably, it is the effect of the self-image the 26-year-old Canberran has created. He has even openly admitted to playing eSports last until the night before matchdays.

Coming to Dimitrov, he surprised tennis fans after picking “The Notebook” as his favorite film. At the same time, he also might have upset some ardent classic movie fans when he said that he hadn’t watched Star Wars, Harry Potter, or the Lord of the Rings.

Furthermore, the 2017 ATP Finals champion shared he last binged-watched the show called Episodes. Besides, Dimitrov shared that his favorite place to visit is London, United Kingdom, and the person he’d like to meet is Hollywood icon Brad Pitt.

Dimitrov and Kyrgios’ 2021 season

Inarguably, Dimitrov had an inconsistent 2021 season with some big wins and upsets. But near the end of the year, he picked up his level and displayed some stunning tennis on the ATP Tour. Ultimately, he ended his season with a 24-18 record.

On the other side, Kyrgios played only a handful of tournaments this year. Although there were high expectations from him, the long breaks affected his tennis and also his physicality. He finished 2021 with a mere 7-8 record.

Summing up, the duo will look forward to cashing on their experience in 2022. Let’s see how that story unfolds for them.
