“I Want to See You Again” – Rodtang Jitmuangnon Warns Tenshin Nasukawa Before Japanese Fighter Retires From Kickboxing

Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon wants to have another go at Japanese kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa before the latter hangs up his kickboxing gloves. 

The ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion posted a picture alongside Tenshin, with the caption: “I’ve heard that you will change the battle in a new way. If [this] will be your last kickboxing fight, I want to see you again #one champion.” 

He also tagged ONE Championship’s official Instagram account and ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong – to catch their attention.

Rodtang’s response comes after Tenshin announced that he plans to quit kickboxing to pursue a professional career in boxing. The Japanese fighter said he has two bouts left on his contract with RISE, adding that he would love to fight Rodtang in a rematch in his last kickboxing bout.

“My final opponent is not decided yet. But, if possible, I want to face Rodtang,” Tenshin was quoted as saying on martial arts site Gong Kakutogi. 

As revealed by the promotion on Twitter, Tenshin’s last match would tentatively take place on April 2, 2022, at Yoyogi National Stadium in Shibuya, Japan.

Will Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Tenshin Nasukawa 2 ever come to fruition?

Both athletes seem bent on going to war once again. If ONE and RISE can strike a deal, martial arts fans around the world will be treated to an absolute belter.

While Tenshin believes he could protect his undefeated record, “The Iron Man” wants to ensure his rival does not leave the sport without tasting defeat. Rodtang felt that he was robbed of a victory during their first encounter in June 2018. 

There has not been any confirmation on whether this highly-anticipated rematch will take place. For now, Rodtang will keep his focus on Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson. The striking specialist faces off against the mixed martial arts GOAT in a four-round special rules contest, consisting of two Muay Thai and MMA rounds apiece.

Should ONE and RISE come to a mutual agreement, he will undoubtedly be ready for a rematch against Tenshin.
