Lewis Hamilton had a phenomenal race at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Brit was starting the grid in tenth place and went to beat his arch-rival Max Verstappen to claim victory. People were amazed at how the 7-time world champion drove at Interlagos, but his former Mercedes teammate, Nico Rosberg understood what Hamilton was doing.

Nico Rosberg reveals Lewis Hamilton’s secret from the Brazilian GP
Rosberg and Hamilton are regarded as each other’s greatest rivals. Hence, it is understandable that they understood things about each other, the outside world couldn’t.
During his track review ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix, Rosberg said, “You will have seen Lewis do that a lot in Brazil. He was always offsetting himself, so in many corners, breaking into the corner, he was little bit more to the inside. So he was having a clear air until he got to the apex.”
“There were some long corners where he was literally leaving two meters of space at the apex from the apex, to offset himself to car in-front, to run in clear air. Most people wouldn’t have spotted that but obviously I have the experience so I can see it, that’s how Lewis was trying to get in clear air all the time to stay really close to the guy in-front. And he was really like mastering the art because he had so many people to overtake. So he was really like it was a kind of completely different line that you’d normally never take around the whole lap. It wall all about you getting into the clear air throughout all the corners, so it was really cool to watch,” Rosberg concluded.

How did Lewis perform in FP1 and FP2?
The Mercedes driver wasn’t really up to his mark in the first two practice sessions at the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix. In FP1, Hamilton could only manage to be the fourth fastest of the session. But, the Knight was hoping to bounce in the second session of the day.
