Dame Emma Thompson almost stole Adele’s shine on An Audience With Adele as she was caught dancing like there’s no tomorrow.
The stars turned out for Adele’s homecoming concert at the London Palladium earlier this month with the show airing Sunday night on ITV in celebration of the release of her new album 30.
Introducing her song, Send My Love (To Your New Lover), Adele encouraged the star-studded audience to seize the rare chance to dance during her concert and, well, Dame Emma most certainly didn’t waste the opportunity.
At various points during the performance of the mid tempo track, Dame Emma was seen with her arms flailing in the air and swaying her hips like there was no tomorrow. Viewers were both in hysterics and completely in awe of the screen icon’s moves.
Reacting to Dame Emma cutting some serious shapes, one viewer tweeted: ‘Dame Emma Thompson dancing to Adele is the best sight I’ve ever seen.’
Another quipped: ‘Emma Thompson dancing like an aunt on Christmas Day after too many sherries!!’
‘LOVING Emma Thompson dancing like a lunatic. Absolute MOOD!’ another weighed in.
One viewer stated: ‘Really enjoying #AnAudienceWithAdele its amazing, but Emma Thompson has made my night!! Having the best time… love it.’
The Hello singer recorded the anticipated concert on November 7 with a bevy of A-listers in the audience, including Idris Elba, Dua Lipa, Samuel L Jackson, Emma Watson, Alan Carr and Stormzy.
It was previously revealed that the singer broke down in tears and admitted to being ‘so nervous’ performing in her hometown for the first time since 2017.
She told the audience: ‘I’m s*****g it.’
It’s also said Adele was reunited with a familiar face from her childhood while also giving the microphone to Alan Carr so he could entertain the audience while she reapplied her make-up. The comedian, 45, reportedly tried to belt out the singer’s latest song Easy On Me prompting laughter from the crowd.

The concert special features the Grammy-winner performing a mix of tracks from her new album with classic hits such as Hometown Glory, Hello and Someone Like You.
Adele released her fourth album, 30, on Friday and she’s on course to swoop the top three positions on the singles chart, meaning she’s basically in competition with herself.
An Audience With Adele will be available on the ITV Hub.
