Errol Spence Jr. Takes a Dig at Shawn Porter’s Father for Stopping the Terence Crawford Fight

Terence Crawford entered the boxing ring for one of his toughest title defenses against Shawn Porter. The duo waged war against each other and they didn’t leave any stones unturned with their performances. The underdog, Porter, shook countless fans with his approach tonight, and no one expected him to give such a stern test to Crawford.

However, he knew what he had to do, and eventually, Porter ended up doing the same until he was caught by ‘Bud’ in round 10 of the fight.

Crawford knocked ‘Showtime’ down twice in round 10. And after the second knockdown, the latter’s father and trainer, Kenny Porter, asked the referee to stop the fight.

Citing this, the WBC, and IBF welterweight champ, Errol Spence Jr. took an aim at Porter’s father on his Twitter.

He wrote, “If I was Shawn I wouldn’t pay my daddy lol”

‘Showtime’ was desperate to continue the fight, but his father didn’t want him to continue fighting further. The underdog put some relentless pressure on his compatriot, Terence Crawford. Moreover, he didn’t let ‘Bud’ dictate the pace of the fight in the initial rounds.

Porter even had an upper hand in landing some power-packed right hooks in the first half of the fight.

But Crawford came back well, responding with some notable counterattacks to put ‘Showtime’ on the back foot. On top of that, he only capitalized on his approach later on. And finally, after several heavy exchanges, it was in round 10, when ‘Bud’ finally landed his signature left hands to close the show.
