‘Made My Day’: Golf World Reacts to Delightful Tiger Woods Update

Last November, Tiger Woods played the Masters, finishing T38. No one expected it to be the last time they would see Woods on the course in a long, long time. This February, Woods was involved in a one-car crash, which had him sidelined for months.

As time went by without an official update on the PGA Tour legend, fans started to miss his presence. While a few updates were available, nothing was official or from Woods directly.

With his recent video on social media, Woods seems to have put the golf world out of misery. The 45-year-old is back on the course, making it clear that he means business.

Golf world reacts to Tiger Woods’ return to the course

Woods shared this video himself, his back to the camera as he makes his shot. “Making progress,” Woods wrote, probably indicating that there is still some time before he actually returns to the Tour.

However, that is not stopping fans and everyone else from celebrating a little.

He’s not gonna be able to walk Augusta for 4 days

Awesome! Tiger basically had major leg surgery in last year and multiple back and knee surgeries and I could never dream of being able to swing a club like that!!

Only thing that matters in life,” one fan wrote, and others were beyond excited to see the 15-time major winner back on the course. Some did wonder when he would be back to play professionally, which, by the looks of things, might be a while.

Woods’ return on the course has turned the golf world upside down, sending everyone into a state of frenzy.

Many of his fans also commended his speedy comeback to the course, as it has been 271 days since the crash.

Of course, golfers and other celebrities also reacted to the video, just as excited as fans.

— Justin Thomas (@JustinThomas34) November 21, 2021

Justin Thomas, who has often spoken about Woods, was one of the first people to react. He previously provided an update about Woods and looked genuinely happy about Woods’ return to the course. The Ryder Cup and Tony Finau were some others who reacted, along with NBA star Kent Bazemore.

Thomas on Woods’ recovery

Thomas has previously spoken about Woods, about how he will surely try and come back. “I don’t see him ever playing if he can’t play well. He doesn’t strike me as a guy that’s going to play at home shooting a bunch of 75s and 76s and he’s like, ‘All right, I’m gonna go give Augusta a try this year,’” he had said“That’s just not gonna be him.”

Additionally, the upcoming Hero World Challenge is expected to be Woods’ first proper appearance after the accident.

What do you think about Woods’ recovery? Will the PGA Tour star be back soon?
