BEWARE Jimmy Butler: Heat Star Knocked Down By Nikola Jokic Set to Miss 10 Games Due to Whiplash
A few days ago, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic and Miami Heat forward Markieff Morris were involved in an ugly on-court altercation. The whole ordeal was as concerning as it could be, with Morris’ foul turning out to be harmful to himself in the end. Now, as per recent reports, Morris will apparently be away for more time than many expected.
Jokic was moving down the court after a rebound, while Morris came in and made a hard foul with his elbow on Jokic’s right side. When Morris turned around, Jokic ended up shoving Morris, who went flying across the court. Jokic has been suspended for one game.
The 32-year-old Heat star was certainly injured, on the floor for a long time. However, the injury seems to be worse than what most expected.

How long will Markieff Morris be out?
According to recent reports, Markieff Morris will be out for at least 10 games due to the incident with Jokic. He did not travel with them during the four-game road trip, which only confirms his extended absence from the court.
“He’s doing a lot better, but other than that, we don’t have a new update,” Erik Spoelstra said. He did add that Jokic’s reaction and suspension for only a day was ‘disappointing’. “It was a very dangerous play and it’s really unfortunate. That’s the byproduct of those kind of dangerous actions”.

The good news, however, is that Morris is feeling better, and they are looking at the situation one day at a time.
The situation at the game soured immediately, Jimmy Butler and his anger visible. While everyone was looking after Morris, Butler seemed to ask for a fight, his words directed at the Denver Nuggets bench and Jokic.
Though he was stopped, the bad blood between the two sides over the incident remained. Butler has been leading the team this season as well, and the Heat need every player to stay on top of their game.
Jokic regrets his move
In the end, Jokic apologized for what he did. Jokic’s power was too much, which ended up hurting another player in return. Jokic added himself that it was stupid. “I feel bad. I am not supposed to react that way,” he said, adding that he thought it was only going to be a take foul but ended up being dirty play. He explained that he wanted to protect himself, and did not want to react like that, even though he did.
