How Jordan Poole is Making Warriors Fans Forget About Kevin Durant

The Golden State Warriors continue their dream run as they triumph over the Toronto Raptors comfortably, recording their 15th win of the season. As Stephen Curry came back from an injury, others showed up too to get the job done; especially Jordan Poole, who is making the Warriors forget about Kevin Durant.

Notably, Curry missed the last game with a hip injury. In his absence, Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins came up big in their win. Despite his return, the duo continued a dominant display, as they were on target throughout the night, creating the much-needed impact.

Poole was on fire from downtown, as he barely missed. While he added significant points, Poole took just 13 shots for the night, a feat similar to that of Kevin Durant.

Poole making up for Warriors losing on Kevin Durant?

Just like any other NBA player, Poole has worked his way up the ranks. However, it is only since last season that he got a bigger role due to Klay Thompson’s injury. Since then, Poole has only kept improving as a scorer. Currently filling in for Klay, he is averaging career-high numbers and making up big time for the Warriors.

He added 33 points in the win against the Raptors while shooting 10-13 from the field. The only other Warrior to score those many points on 13 or lesser shots is Kevin Durant. Durant is a glorified scorer, but Poole is still working his way up. He needs to work on his consistency to be a more dependable scorer and get a bigger role ahead. But, it is clear that he has done tons for the Warriors since both Klay and KD left.

Jordan Poole tonight:

• 33 PTS
• 10-13 FG
• 8-11 3PT (career-high)

Only one other #Warriors player in franchise history has ever scored that many points on 13 shots or fewer — Kevin Durant.

Coming to the game, the Bay enjoyed an all-around performance from both the bench and the starters. Poole put on a three-point display shooting 8-11 from deep. Andrew Wiggins continued his rise back to form tallying 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Off the bench, Otto Porter Jr. and Chiozza were on fire from downtown, shooting a combined 9/20 from downtown.
