Keanu Reeves has set the record straight on whether or not he is married to Winona Ryder, and we have some serious questions.

The pair filmed Dracula together in 1992, with their characters tying the knot on screen of Francis Ford Coppola’s epic – but using a real Romanian priest.

As you do.

The Stranger Things actress, 50, later sent us all into a spin when she said that the nuptials were actually legit and legally binding.

Appearing in a new Explain This video segment for Esquire, Keanu, 57, was asked about the wedding once again, and laughed that it is indeed real.

As he was presented with an article regarding his co-star’s comments in the clip, he admitted: ‘We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests.

‘Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.’

Noted.

Winona previously opened up about the scenes in a chat with Entertainment Weekly in 2018 – ironically to promote their latest film together, Destination Wedding.

‘We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to God I think we’re married in real life,’ she confessed at the time.

‘In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.’

Wedding aside, Keanu is currently loved up with Alexandra Grant (Picture: Getty)

Thankfully, neither have committed bigamy if the nuptials are still in tact, as Winona – who has been in a long-term relationship with Scott Hahn since 2011 – has never been married.

Keanu is currently dating Alexandra Grant, with the pair keeping their romance firmly under wraps, but they have yet to walk down the aisle.

News of his wedding may have slipped his mind, as he has a bunch of films set to come out in the next few months.

Not only is he working on the new Matrix film, but he has also wrapped on the upcoming John Wick sequel, which is slated to be released next year.

Keanu first took on the action role in 2014, playing the titular character who is out for revenge after his dog is killed.

He went on to appear in two sequels – John Wick: Chapter 2 in 2017 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum in 2019.

Letting slip of what the fourth instalment may have in store for fans, director Chad Stahelski promised some ‘big’ surprises.

‘We submitted an idea or thematic [plan] and it was really big,’ he told Collider.

‘So, we’re talking about doing a little bit more than a [John Wick 4], or something like that, and trying to develop that.’

‘I’m in a happy place where we are in development…we’re in a place where we know what we want do and where we want to do it.’

Bring it on!
