Kyle Busch, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski Share a Unique Record as NASCAR Gen-6 Era Draws to a Close

According to some new statistics, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, and Brad Keselowski share a great record. As it turns out, they are the only drivers to win at least one race in every season of the Gen 6 era. Of course, Busch was an obvious name, as he has registered at least one win for 17 consecutive seasons. However, the #2 and #22 Penske cars of Keselowski and Logano are surprises.

Of course, there were many other drivers who competed along with them in this era and won races. They include Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Aric Almirola. However, Harvick did not reach Victory Lane at all in 2021. Meanwhile, the same could be said for Truex Jr. in 2014, Hamlin in 2018, and Busch in 2013. Newman went winless in multiple seasons, as did Stenhouse Jr and Almirola.

Jimmie Johnson and Clint Bowyer do not count, as they retired before the start of the 2021 season. Additionally, they also went winless during that period. Even reigning champion Kyle Larson had winless periods, and he was suspended after four races in 2020.

Who else could have joined Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, and Brad Keselowski?

2020 Cup champion Chase Elliott went winless from 2015 until 2017. It is also worth mentioning that he was only a part-time driver in 2015, with his full-time debut coming in 2016. Similarly, Matt Kenseth had a win drought in 2014, 2018, and 2020. Even Dale Earnhardt Jr. was not immune to this, as he went winless in 2013, 2016, and 2017. However, it is worth noting that he missed most of the 2016 season due to a concussion.

Poor old Ryan Blaney could not make it a full set for Team Penske. This is because he failed to reach Victory Lane from 2014 to 2016. Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Dillon has been winless between 2013 and 2016, and again in 2019 and 2021. And finally, David Ragan has never reached the Top step between 2014 and 2021.
