Judi Love has spoken to Love Island’s Amber Gill after she was sent death threats over false reports she is secretly dating footballer Jack Grealish.

The 24-year-old reality star took to her Instagram on Friday to deny the rumours ‘for absolute clarity’ and shared that she had received ‘hundreds of abusive messages and death threats’.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Judi revealed on Monday’s Loose Women that she caught up with Amber to check in following the ‘scary’ story.

‘I’ve spoke to Amber and like she posted on her Instagam, the threats that she’s had, the disruption that it causes in your personal life when these things that she’s saying is not true,’ Judi said.

‘It’s really harsh and it’s really scary.’

‘To some it might seem like salacious gossip, a bit of fun, when actually, it affects people’s lives,’ Judi continued.

‘Like Amber said to me it affects other relationships, it affects people’s emotional mental health.’

According to newspaper reports last week, a source suggested that Amber had been caught up in some sort of love triangle with England star Jack and actress Emily Atack, as well as Jack’s long-term girlfriend, Sasha Attwood, despite neither Jack, Emily nor Sasha addressing any of the earlier speculation.

Amber star posted a statement on social media, in which she wrote: ‘After the headlines yesterday making it look like I had given an interview saying ‘I’m the other, other woman’ I have received hundreds of abusive messages and DEATH threats.’

The former Love Islander said that she ‘chose to ignore the headlines’, but as the day continued, she began to feel ‘more and more angry and upset’, adding: ‘I’m not going to just ignore it because this behaviour needs to be challenged.’

‘The 2 false articles written about me have invited complete strangers to DM the most vile and intimidating things, and worse still threatened my life! Why?? Because they believe the complete rubbish written about me yesterday. So, I’m not going to just quietly ignore it,’ she said.

‘For absolute clarity and in MY words, I’ve never been the ‘other woman’ nor will I ever be. And I would also never use the degrading term ‘other woman’ either (like we are collectible trophies for men!).

‘How quickly can you forget your OWN mental health campaign?? #bekind.’

England men’s team star Jack has also poured water on the reports as he headed to social media to share his thoughts.

‘Please don’t believe everything you read in the newspapers,’ Jack wrote on his Instagram Monday morning.

He went on to claim the ‘2 biggest lies in newspapers’ involved quotes from ‘sources’ and ‘close pals’, as he added emoji for effect.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
