Phillip Schofield struggled to see the stage at Audience with Adele special thanks to Boy George’s massive hat

Phillip Schofield appeared to have a spot of bother as he attended the star-studded An Audience with Adele special, as he was sat behind Boy George’s very large hat.

The This Morning host was one of many big names who attended the major event at the London Palladium, which aired on ITV on Sunday.

But it appears he was seated in a bit of an awkward spot for the iconic gig, and he may have struggled to see a lot of Adele’s performance.

Fashion designer and music icon Boy George rocked a sizeable blue hat during the concert, but it seems to have been in the way of Phillip, who was sitting behind him.

At one point during the broadcast, a fan noticed Phillip’s change in posture as he craned his neck to see past the massive headwear.

‘When you can’t see from behind Boy George’s hat @Schofe #Adele30,’ the fan chuckled, sharing a snap on Twitter.

The 59-year-old TV host, who was seen sitting in front of Schitt’s Creek actress Catherine O’Hara and behind Boy George, reposted the tweet with laughing face emojis.

Phillip attended the glamorous event with his estranged wife Stephanie Lowe as his red carpet date.

The magical one-off was filled with so many beautiful moments, which included an emotional Adele reuniting with her former English teacher.

Dame Emma Thompson asked the singer who had inspired her when she was younger, and Adele replied saying Ms McDonald, and described her as ‘cool’ and ‘engaging’.

Speaking of Dame Emma, her dance moves were also a big topic of discussion, as she was seen swinging her arms in the air and swaying her hips like no one was watching. Viewers were both in hysterics and completely in awe of the screen icon’s moves.

During the impressive show, viewers also witnessed Adele restarting Easy On Me, the hit single which marked her return to music after a long time away earlier this year.

The singer said she was ‘sh***ing’ herself as she stumbled slightly during the performance, however she didn’t let that mishap get the better of her, as she quickly brushed it off and got a standing ovation from the crowd.

What a legend.

An Audience With Adele is available to watch on the ITV Hub.
