Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has opened up about wanting to start a family with boyfriend Joe Sugg.

The professional dancer 32 and the YouTube star, 30, first met while competing on the BBC series in 2018 and have been inseparable ever since.

They took their romance to the next level earlier this year when they purchased their first home together, confirming the news on social media.

Spilling the beans on their relationship in a candid chat with Women’s Health, she shared her ‘dream’ of starting a family with her beau.

‘Joe is the most supportive person…I’d love to have a family one day, and I know Joe would love a family too. That would be our dream one day,’ she told the publication.

Dianne first appeared on the Strictly dance floor in 2017, alongside celebrity dance partner Reverend Richard Coles, and has been a permanent fixture of the line-up ever since.

However, her stint on this year’s show was cut short when Robert Webb was forced to withdraw from the competition due to ill health.

‘Two years ago I had open heart surgery and although I believed I was fit enough to take on Strictly and its demanding schedule, it became clear that I had bitten off way more than I could chew for this stage in my recovery,’ the Peep Show actor shared at the time.

‘I had begun to feel symptoms that led me to seek an urgent consultation with my heart specialist, and it was her view that it would be better for the sake of my health to step back from the show.

‘I’m proud of the three dances that Dianne Buswell and I managed to perform and deeply regret having to let her down like this.’

Speaking of her early exit, Dianne continued to the publication: ‘[Robert’s] health is obviously the most important thing in all this. I’m just glad that it was caught in time so there’s no damage to his heart.’

Revealing how she coped with the news, she added: ‘When I have a difficult [situation] come up, I allow myself to feel that [emotion]. I think that it’s really important not to override the feeling of: you know, I’m really disappointed; I was loving dancing with Robert; I am feeling quite sad about that.

‘Instead of just brushing that off, I allow myself to have those days to really feel what I am feeling and then, once I have got that sadness out of me, then I’m like: “Okay, now it’s time to look at what else I can do with this time”.’

We can’t wait to see what she does next.
