Phillip Schofield forced to apologise as ‘King of the Waltz’ André Rieu swears live on This Morning

Phillip Schofield was forced to issue a swift apology on today’s This Morning when the ‘King of the Waltz’ André Rieu swore live on air, leaving viewers in hysterics.
On Tuesday’s edition of the ITV programme, Phillip and Holly Willoughby welcomed the violinist and conductor into the studio.
While chatting to the acclaimed artist, they asked him about the music teachers he used to have when he was younger – one of whom he was fond of, and another that he absolutely loathed.
When he was asked about the two teachers, André said: ‘My first teacher was an 18-year-old blonde girl. I was five, and I fell in love with her immediately so it helped a lot.’
‘You had two teachers didn’t you? The other one you didn’t like very much,’ Holly said.
André recalled how he used to go for piano lessons with the second teacher at a castle, before adding: ‘I hated her and I hated her castle. I hated the piano. She was a b***h.’

The presenters immediately burst into laughter, as Phillip quickly said sorry to viewers that caught André’s blunder.

André revealed that he later achieved some revenge over his former teacher, going on to buy the castle and completely redecorate it in white and gold.
This Morning absolutely loved his gaffe on the show, with one describing him as a ‘hoot’.
‘Andre Rieu you absolute legend,’ one person tweeted, while another said: ‘Absolutely love Andre Rieu.’
Earlier on in the show, Phillip and Holly were joined by Vanessa Feltz and Henry Bonsu to chat about the stories making the news, including Boris Johnson’s car-crash Peppa Pig speech.
Holly actually came to the prime minister’s defence, suggesting that he take on a voiceover role in the cartoon.
‘He’d actually make quite a good voiceover for like sort of Grandpa Bull,’ she said, as Phillip laughed.

Several This Morning viewers criticised the presenters for defending Mr Johnson, with one writing: @thismorning laughing off Boris Johnson’s antics…really!! Diversion from the real issues going on I think.’
‘Yooo this is why I can’t watch #ThisMorning how are these people defending Boris’ behaviour,’ another said.
