Dwyane Wade on LeBron James’ Greatness: “The World Gets to Witness It Most Nights. But I Got a Chance to Witness It in Practice. I Got a Chance to Witness It In the Weight Room”
LeBron James had an interesting part of his career overlap with former NBA great Dwyane Wade. The Los Angeles Lakers talisman played for the Miami Heat between 2010 to 2014. LeBron played alongside Wade and Chris Bosh for the Heat, forming a formidable trio. Wade had high praise for LeBron, who is in the 19th year of his NBA career.
Dwyane Wade recently spoke about LeBron and praised the Lakers star. Wade was speaking on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ to promote his new photobook/memoir ‘Dwyane’. He lauded LeBron for the hard work and dedication that he put in while training for games.
Wade said, “To be able to have the opportunity; to be able to witness this guy’s (Lebron’s) greatness, you know. And I always say like the world gets to witness it at you know, most nights around you know when he played with me around 7:30. But I got a chance to witness it and practice every day. I got a chance to witness it in the weight room. I got a chance to witness it when it came to how he take care take care of his body, his family, his people, just everything what this guy stands for.”
Wade referred to LeBron’s insane dedication to maintaining his body fitness and health. LeBron reportedly spends $1.5 million every year to sustain his body’s elite fitness. This covers costs such as his home gym, trainers, massages, therapist, and a nutritionist.
Wade and LeBron crossed paths at the Heat and at the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their time at the Heat resulted in them winning two NBA championships as teammates. LeBron left Heat in 2014 to join the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wade joined him in 2017 for one season before they parted ways again.
