“Max Holloway is Probably Heavier Than Conor”- Conor McGregor’s Coach Wants Max Holloway to Fight Conor McGregor at His Natural Weight
Rematches and Conor McGregor have gone horribly wrong for the fighter in 2021. The former two-weight world champion offered his old rival, Dustin Poirier, a chance to redeem itself. Unlike the first time, the rematch saw Dustin knocking him out and the UFC star went on to lose another fight against Dustin via Doctor Stoppage.
Unsurprisingly, losing two fights has made things incredibly difficult for the superstar. Conor’s Coach John Kavanagh understands that a title might be on the horizon, but a rematch with Max Holloway might entice his pupil. In a recent conversation with Submission Radio, John shared his thoughts about a possible rematch with Max.

Max Holloway could be the next opponent for Conor McGregor
Conor needs to make a big return to the octagon in 2022. The back-to-back losses this year have definitely brought his stocks down. He was once regarded as one of the toughest matchups in the entire sport, but now his peers have begun to overlook him. This massive change in the outlook can only be rectified if he manages to beat one of the big guns in the sport.
Max is definitely regarded as one of the best fighters in the world, but beating him in his prime is no easy feat. Conor already has a victory over him, and a rematch is definitely on the horizon. Notably, it looks like the rematch will take place at Lightweight instead of it being a Featherweight bout.
