‘NOT top 75′: Fans Troll Lakers’ Anthony Davis Ruthlessly After Underwhelming Performance Against Knicks
The Los Angeles Lakers, once again, are staring at the face of defeat as the New York Knicks completely dominated the first and the fourth quarter. But how did this happen? In LeBron James’ absence so far, it’s Anthony Davis who has been stepping up as the scoring leader.
Unfortunately, that was hardly the case tonight. And no matter what you’ve done for the team before, NBA fans on Twitter never leave the opportunity to troll players when the opportunity arises. Thanks to AD’s underwhelming performance, they didn’t even have to try very hard.
Fans mock Anthony Davis for lousy performance
When the Lakers head over to Madison Square Garden to play the Knicks, it’s considered a big deal. Why? The amount of star-power on both ends and the expectations that lie with them is through the roof. However, there is no pleasing fans. As long as you’re losing, there will be some ruthless bashing.
So far, Russell Westbrook has been the center of all the trolling for his inability to take charge in LeBron James’ absence. But while playing against the Knicks, Anthony Davis had to bear the brunt of it. Despite being one of the biggest reasons the Lakers have won any games without Bron, AD’s performance in this vital game left everyone unimpressed.
He finished the night with 20 points, while Russell Westbrook put up a 31-point performance. However, none of this was enough to keep the Knicks at bay, who had far more support on the offense. This led to fans brutally trolling AD, blaming him for their 106-100 loss to the Knicks.

How does Anthony Davis ONLY have 6⃣ rebounds against a diminished & diminutive #Knicks frontline?

Anthony Davis isn’t a superstar anymore. Hate to say it

Did Anthony Davis play tonight? Did anyone see him out there? Lol It’s a joke that people call him a superstar.

This loss is on Anthony Davis.
You can’t be the future leader of this franchise and not be aggressive, not want the ball, not take it in the paint.
Come on its almost the 20th game of the season, when is he going to tap in?
I know he can play like an MVP but he just won’t

The Lakers star was listed probable for the matchup
Before the game started, LeBron James was already suspended because of the unfortunate incident that took place with Isaiah Stewart while playing the Detroit Pistons.
But AD could have also missed the game because the early injury report had listed him as probable because he was facing flu-like symptoms. Despite not being completely well, he played. He deserves empathy, not more hatred.

Fans are always going to hold those accountable for their team’s loss. But Isn’t it wrong to dismiss all that he has done for the team so far, and bash him because of one poor performance?
