Recently, a video of the legend performing with Andy Macdonald went viral. Hawk expressed his gratitude and happiness regarding the way people received the iconic footage on Instagram.

“We had this run as a big idea but decided not to do it – not even in practice – unless absolutely necessary. We found it necessary to take the chance on our last run,” wrote the legend, Hawk.
“There were a few risky moments (like trying to stall an invert in order to re-sync our walls and then Andy swiping me away on a switch air to fakie), but varial 5’s were the most worrisome from our perspectives. Once we made those, our special meters were full.”
“Thanks to anyone that was watching back then, and to all of you [re]discovering these moments thanks to current technologies,” he added.
Tony Hawk’s documentary- “Until The Wheels Fall Off”
Tony Hawk’s new documentary “Until The Wheels Fall Off”, is based on the 17-year-long career of the skateboarder. He announced the news through an Instagram post talking about director Sam Jones, who initiated this idea. His impressive previous works convinced Hawk that he was the right man for the job.
“I hadn’t considered what exactly that would mean at the time, but I instinctively knew that I could trust him to tell my story in an authentic way based on his previous work,” said Hawk.
