Dancing On Ice star Brendan Cole has left partner Vanessa Bauer with a deep cut on her back after she collided with his skates during training.

The 25-year-old skater uploaded the video on Instagram Stories, where she showed off the nasty wound on her back.

Along with the clip, she wrote: ‘Got Brendan’s blade in my back. Dancing On Ice really is a bit dangerous.’

She later zoomed in on Brendan’s face, which was full of remorse, who replied: ‘Bad Brendan.’

The duo is currently under intense training for the annual programme, which will return in January.

Vanessa is determined to make the most out of the upcoming season after she and Emmerdale actor Joe-Warren Plant tested positive for coronavirus earlier this year, forcing them to leave the 2021 series.

Brendan recently expressed his excitement over the upcoming series, and due to his Strictly Come Dancing history, it’s safe to say he knows a thing or two about competition.

Although the star recently expressed his overall excitement, Brendan also admitted that his training sessions haven’t been the smoothest.

Talking to Lorraine last month, he said: ‘I was thinking, “I reckon I’ll be fine”, but I was terrible. I was a bit wobbly, I was hoping I was going to be better than I was, but I have time to learn.’

‘I’m going to embrace the whole experience and I’m very excited.’

The ballroom dancer was the eighth person to be confirmed for the line-up – following in the footsteps of fellow Strictly alumnus James Jordan, who went on to win the series in 2019.

Brendan joins the likes of Coronation Street actress Sally Dynevor, former rugby ace Ben Foden and Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberly Wyatt.

Dancing On Ice is set to premiere in January 2022.
