This year’s season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has been an unpredictable yet unforgettable, which has kept fans on their toes throughout. But now, Kitty Scott-Claus, Ella Vaday, and Krystal Versace have made the final, but who will end up lifting the crown.
The competition has been tight up until this point, and every week the contestants have pulled out all the stops with the hopes of reaching the very end.
Drag Race UK, which is hosted by iconic American drag queen RuPaul Charles, has seen huge success since its 2019 premiere on BBC Three.
Millions of viewers have tuned in to see their challenges, which involve them lip-sync their way to drag stardom.
So, ahead of tonight’s long-awaited episode, here’s what you need to know about the queens.
Kitty Scott-Claus
Kitty was gonna call herself Madonna Kebab (Picture: Burak Cingi/Redferns)
Kitty Scott-Claus, 29, is the stage name of Louie Westwood, and while we can agree that her current drag title serves some serious fierce energy, the star was set on a completely different name.
‘Originally I was going to be Madonna Kebab, then I thought about Chelsea Bun, or Burger Queen, but nothing landed.
‘But one day it just hit me. I have a large array of funny catch phrases and funny voices — and I realised that whenever someone was being a bit catty, I always used to say ‘ooh saucer of milk…. This kitty’s got claws!”
‘And so that’s how Kitty Scott-Claus was born!’
The star is a member of Gals Aloud, which is a tribute band to Girls Aloud, and season one contestant Cheryl Hole is also part of it… small world.
Ella Vaday

The 32-year-old Drag Queen from Dagenham, Essex – real name Nicholas Collier- describes herself as the drag equivalent of the beast from the east.
Ella Vaday, who’s title is a pun of the expression hell of a day, has been wowing the judges from day one, and she’s also won the most RuPeter badges so far, which could mean she has a good chance of winning.
She is also the second UK contestant to win four Maxi Challenges, after Bimini Bon-Boulash in season 2.
The star is no stranger to the spotlight, having worked on a long list of West End musicals such as Wicked, CATS, Book of Mormon and Hairspray.
Krystal Versace
It was nearly over for Krystal Versace (Picture: PA)
Last week’s semi final was a close call for Krystal Versace, – real name Luke Fenn -after she failed to get in the laughs during the roast segment, which resulted in her lip-synching for her life against Vanity Milan.
The star, 19 explained how Krystal was born, and it all stemmed from a romantic conversation with a guy she was talking too.
He liked the name ‘Crystal’ for me and I liked it, whilst I liked the name ‘Versace’ for a while, I just put two and two together and voilà. But then a while after that I decided that Krystal with a K was more me and so the name stuck since!”
She’s earned two RuPeter badges from the first two episodes, and she also happens to be the first queen of Cypriot descent to compete in the reality series.
