Top WWE Raw Superstar Celebrates a Massive Milestone of His Career

Born in Ireland, Finn Balor grew up in the British wrestling scene. However, his initial training happened in Japan where he developed his in-ring style. Since then, he made appearances in Mexico before eventually coming to America and wrestling in WWE.

However, this fairtytale journey of Balor started in 2001 when he was in his early 20s. The inaugural WWE Universal champion, Finn Balor, took to Twitter and addressed his anniversary in the world of pro-wrestling.

Before coming to WWE, Balor was already a star in the industry. The majority of his fame came in Japan’s NJPW wrestling promotion, where he got the moniker of ‘The Prince’.

20 years later in the business, Balor is still going strong and is showing no sign of stopping. The former Intercontinental champion was in a feud with the reigning WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, and had a stellar match with him at the Extreme Rules PPV.

Although he didn’t win the title that night, it didn’t affect his position on the WWE roster and WWE still features him on TV on a weekly basis.

“Nov [ember] 23 2001 I made my Pro-Wrestling debut Thank you To everyone who helped me along the way, To everyone that cheered & boo’ed at the shows, To Hammerlock, NJPW, NXT, WWE & the Club, To all the men & woman I work with & To my family & wife for unwavering belief. It looks like WWE is putting a lot of faith in the former champ, as Balor is regularly featured on TV. Given the support of the WWE Universe, The Prince might become a champion again.
