WATCH: LeBron James Brings Back Iconic Celebration After Draining Clutch Threes in Overtime Win vs Pacers
Criticism has followed the Los Angeles Lakers after an unexpected start to the season. However, there have been many issues that they couldn’t control. The main reason has been the availability of LeBron James. the ‘King’ has missed quite a few games due to injury and most recently to a one game suspension following the on court altercation with Isaiah Stewart. But it seems like James did not go rusty as he hit two clutch threes and brought back an iconic celebration.
For the longest time, LeBron has received slander for not being a clutch player. Despite proving it many times, the narrative doesn’t seem to change, as analysts often say he doesn’t have that killer in him. However, James proved them all wrong once again after a dominating performance in overtime in the Lakers win over the Indiana Pacers.

LeBron James comes up big in the clutch
After missing the potential game winner in regulation, LeBron came out with a purpose in overtime. The ‘King’ hit back-to-back threes to give the Lakers a comfortable advantage. His second three was probably the best of the night as he went to the left and shot it from way beyond the arc.
After hitting the three, James celebrated with his iconic ‘Silencer’ celebration and shot down all his critics once again. His teammates were also hyped as they put on his crown after the clutch display.
Despite not having Anthony Davis, the Lakers held their own and came out on top. While they did seem to struggle in the beginning, they came back from a 12 point deficit to win the game. LeBron coming off a one game suspension did not seem to miss a beat as the 36 YO single handedly took the Lakers home.
James tallied 39 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks to help get the win over the Indiana Pacers. Russell Westbrook struggled from the floor shooting just 3-10. However, he was on point from the free throw line going 9-11. The bench came up big late in the game as the trio of Monk, Carmelo and Ellington combined for 45 points tonight.
The Lakers almost gave up another win in the fourth quarter, but the ‘King’ came back in the best way possible. With this win, the Lakers will hope to gain stability as Anthony Davis will return in the next game. Do you think the purple and gold can keep this form going? Let us know in the comments below.
