Clean-Shaven Aaron Judge Shows Up to Thanksgiving Run After Beard Picture Goes Viral
A Yankees player with a beard? That’s an unusual sight, isn’t it? As a recent picture of Aaron Judge with a beard went viral, people demanded more, even requesting Yankees to discard their appearance policy. However, the star is back in his not natural but rightful Yankees avatar for Thanksgiving.
Not many know that the New York Yankees have a strict infamous policy against beards and hair below the collar. Even though many players have protested against it over the years, the short hair custom still prevails.
Clean shaved Aaron Judge for Thanksgiving
Aaron Judge joined the New York Yankees in 2016, and since then, the 29-year-old was never seen in a beard. However, fans were stunned as a picture of Judge slaying a beard went viral on Twitter. Instantly, people started questioning the Yankees’ facial hair policy. There were even speculations about Aaron being the changemaker in the franchise’s history, with his new style.

Sadly, Judge eventually changed his look to the Yankees style as he appeared for the 17th Annual Run & Walk Against Hunger on Thanksgiving. Heartbroken, now fans wondered if he even grew a beard in the first place.

Shockingly, it was later discovered that the beard picture was not real. Clearly, the Yankees policy is too strict for anyone, and their own star won’t break it. Twitter user, Mike Dro, claimed he photoshopped the beard on Aaron Judge, and people thought it was real.
Why are the New York Yankees players clean shaved?
The Yankees have had the ‘no facial hair’ policy since 1973 when George Steinbrenner was the owner. George was not happy with the non-uniformity in the squad, with some having long hair and scruffy faces. Notably, George was in the military and wanted to instill some discipline in his team. Hence, he brought in the appearance policy that stated- no male member of the team, player, manager, or coach may have facial hair and hair below their collars.
