Attitude Era Superstar Admits He Was Close to WWE Return After Talking to Triple H

Former WWE superstar, Maven, had an interesting run during his early days with the company. He was WWE Tough Enough season one winner and the creative team booked him against The Undertaker to put him over. However, Maven recently confessed that back in 2020 he was in talks with WWE COO, Triple H to get back with the company, but the pandemic happened and the conversation never turned into action.

During the start of his career, Maven was in a lengthy feud with The Undertaker and the Deadman did everything in his power to put him over with the crowd. However, things didn’t work out well for the former star and the company had to release him.

Maven was in contact with Triple H

Maven recently appeared for an interview with ‘That ’90s Wrestling Podcast‘ where he revealed that he approached Triple H back in 2020 for an in-ring or backstage capacity.

Maven noted that he went to America and met with Triple and Matt Bloom to get an opportunity back in the company.

“Before the world was shut down before the pandemic, I actually traveled to Orlando and met with Hunter (Triple H) and with Albert (Matt Bloom) who is running the developmental down there now. And I was talking to them about maybe doing some announcing stuff. I did that, and I went there, on March 11 of 2020. And if you remember, in America that’s the day America shut down. So, I never want to turn my back or say, ‘No or it’ll never happen’. Because I don’t know.” he said.

When Maven first started out with the company, it looked like they had big plans for the youngster and wanted to establish him as the top face of the company.

However, he was released from the company after serving the company for four years.
