I’m A Celebrity 2021: Is the ITV show on tonight after live episode was cancelled due to Storm Arwen?

This week, Storm Arwen has caused havoc across the UK, with I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2021 being forced to replace a live episode with a pre-recorded instalment due to the weather.
In a statement, ITV bosses said that the decision was made ‘due to the developing Storm Arwen and precautionary measures we’re putting into place on production’ at Gwrych Castle in Wales.
They continued: ‘Ant & Dec will record their links early evening and these will be played out during tonight’s show.
‘Our celebrities will remain inside the castle which is secure and we have contingencies in place to cover all weather scenarios to ensure the safety of our cast and crew.’
The adverse weather conditions are continuing to drastically affect the UK with strong gusts of wind.

Is I’m A Celebrity on tonight?
On Friday, Ant and Dec tweeted their optimism that the show would return to normal, writing: ‘Thanks for your company on here tonight during #ImACeleb. Hopefully we’re back ‘live’ tomorrow, weather permitting. Please stay safe out there.’
On Saturday, the ITV schedule stated that I’m A Celeb would air as planned at 9pm until 10.05pm.
However, that has since changed, with the show explaining that Saturday and Sunday night’s episodes will not be shown.
A statement read: ‘Owing to technical difficulties caused by extreme weather conditions in the area, there will be no new episodes of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! this weekend (Saturday and Sunday).’
Instead of the typical I’m A Celeb episodes, special compilation programmes will be released instead.
‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will be replaced tonight and tomorrow night in the ITV schedules by compilation shows (voiced by Ant & Dec) featuring best moments from previous series,’ they said.
On Friday night, celebrities at the castle were left in tears by an emotional message left by Richard, in which he assured them that he was ‘completely fine’ after his unexpected exit.

‘I’m as fit as a fiddle in which case I could/should be back in with you right now. But it’s our old friend Covid, I had to come out into the Covid world and I can’t risk bringing the bug back in with me and ruining the experience for you guys, the programme and the viewers. So that’s it, my adventure is over,’ he said.
‘I just want to say how much I love you, you know I mean that and how much I’m grateful to you for everything you’ve said and done for me over the past few days and I’m going to set up that WhatsApp group we spoke about for when you come out.’
I’m A Celebrity returns tonight at 9pm on ITV.
