Forbes also named him the highest-paid athlete for 2021, ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Conor McGregor, despite not having a great year, was still the biggest draw in the UFC. Two events featuring him, UFC 257 and UFC 264, had the most PPV buys in 2021. His net worth has definitely increased this year, but is he actually close to being a billionaire?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Conor McGregor’s net worth in 2021 stands at $200 million. McGregor fought Dustin Poirier twice this year. For the fight at UFC 257, McGregor bagged around $20 million, which includes PPV and sponsor buyouts. The two met for a trilogy fight at UFC 264, and buzz around that was higher. ‘The Notorious’ bagged more than $23 million for that fight.

He also bagged more than $30 million when he fought against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246 in January 2020.

McGregor, along with co-founders Audie Attar and Ken Austin, has sold the majority stake of his whiskey brand, Proper 12 in 2021. The deal was for $600 million. According to Ken Austin, the sum included the $250 million in profit earned in the two years since the launch of the brand.

McGregor also has several endorsement deals. He has huge endorsement deals and tie-ups with Monster Energy, Reebok, Beats Electronics, Burger King, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and Budweiser. McGregor earns around $5 million every year from his Reebok deal. He also has his own clothing line, August McGregor.

Sadly for him and his fans, he is currently on the sidelines because of an injury. He will be looking forward to making a return to the octagon to add to his already massive net worth.
