Can you guess who’s behind the mask as brand new Masked Singer costumes are revealed in first look at next series

THE first look at the real The Masked Singer costumes for the latest season have been unveiled.

ITV announced the line-up of costumes – including doughnut, traffic cone and bagpipes – and has now dropped images of the costumes in all their glory.

Judges on the ITV show, which starts its third series in January, try to guess the identity of the disguised singer.

A source said: “The bosses have landed some amazing talent to perform so wanted to pull out all the stops with the costumes.

“No idea was off limits.”

Other costumes include a panda, snow leopard, “robo-bunny”, mushroom, penguin, lionfish and poodle.

Chandelier is an incredible creation, complete with draping crystals and real lights, while Traffic cone is surprisingly an older character with grey eyebrows and a moustache.

Doughnut is a happy character made up of multiple layers of doughnuts, while Panda seems to be Scout complete with a tool badge and binoculars.

The costume can sometimes be a clue as to the famous face underneath, so the new photos can help fans get their thinking caps on early to figure out who is underneath.

Rita Ora will be returning as a judge on the series after moving to Los Angeles.

The Sun revealed she will return as a judge for the third series of The Masked Singer and is planning a two-week trip back here to shoot next month.

There had been questions over whether she would return following her infamous Covid rule-breaking 30th birthday party last November.

She was also the only Masked Singer judge who did not take part in spin-off The Masked Dancer, being replaced by Oti Mabuse.

But a source close to Rita said: “She loves doing the show and though she has set up a new life in LA, she was determined to still take part.

“She has been out of the UK for the whole of 2021 but she won’t be back for long because at the moment the trip is only scheduled for a fortnight.

“There will be strict Covid rules on set but she’s hoping to see some family and friends while she’s here. It’s really important to her.

“The events of last year very much tainted the UK for her. She sees this as a working trip. LA is her home now.”

Joel Dommett will also return to host the hit ITV show.
