The Los Angeles Lakers are blessed that they have had some of the greatest NBA players to ever exist be a part of their organization. And it is these legends that have made the team one of the most iconic franchises in the league. One of these players is obviously Kobe Bryant. But did you know that the Lakers also held a training camp, for which other great NBA players showed up?

Ever since Kobe Bryant passed away, old stories and memories of him keep popping up on social media. This is how his friends, family, teammates, and rest of the NBA fraternity have chosen to deal with the grief, by keeping him alive, by talking about him and the impact he has had on the game of basketball.

In his prolific 20-year career, Bryant had the opportunity to play with some of the most iconic players. And that wasn’t just limited to who his teammates were, but thanks to the Lakers hosting several legends at the training camp, it was made possible.

And recently, one of his throwback moments from 2005 has resurfaced and started to become the talk of the town. It’s a picture of him and Chicago Bulls legend, Scottie Pippen. Of course, it also has a lot to do with the fact that Pippen has been making headlines for his controversial statements as well. But this picture of the two together is definitely something that keeps him in a more positive light.

During the 2005 Los Angeles Lakers training camp, their big man Andrew Bynum was seen practicing with Kobe Bryant. Tagging along with them was not just Scottie Pippen, Magic Johnson, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

For most, Johnson and Kareem’s presence adds up, since they are former Lakers players as well. But why was Pippen there? Scottie might have made a name for himself playing with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, but he had played under Phil Jackson, who was at the time the head coach for the Lakers.

If these NBA players were the starting lineup for the Lakers, they would have been absolutely unmatched for sure. But for now, we can only use these moments to remember the late Kobe Bryant.
