Tony Hadley lashed out at his former Spandau Ballet band mates during Monday’s Loose Women, claiming they made his life ‘impossible’.
The frontman announced he quit Spandau Ballet in 2017, eight years after they reunited following their 1990 split.
The band, which also consisted of brothers Gary and Martin Kemp, John Keeble and Steve Norman, were easily one of the best-selling groups of the 1980s, going on to shift millions of records with hits including Gold and True.
However, shortly after Tony’s departure, the band recruited Ross William Wild as their new frontman but their reformation didn’t last much longer and they called it quits again in 2019.
Following two years of not being able to tour due to the pandemic, Loose Women panslist Jane Moore said it was sad Tony wasn’t hitting the road with the rest of the group.
‘Well, I totally agree with you,’ he replied.

‘I think it’s sad we’re not going out as Spandau Ballet but I’ve never said what it is [why he quit] and I’m not going to repat the usual diatribe but listen they know why I left the band.
‘You don’t just leave a band like Spandau Ballet just because for the fun of it.’
He elaborated: ‘It was a very difficult decision but they made my life pretty impossible.
‘One day I wish they’d be honest and someone had asked they why did Tone leave?’
His band mate Martin recently told Metro.co.uk a reunion would be a ‘wonderful thing’.

However, he stressed: ‘If it ever came back again… the thing is, there’s five of us that has to say yes at the same time. And there’s always one person that’s doing something else or one person that doesn’t want to do it. So, it’s very difficult to do.
‘You know when you’re kids, the five of us, we were all on exactly the same journey. We all wanted the same thing out of life but when you become an adult, you want different things. You’re not in the same gang anymore.
‘Whether or not it happens I really don’t know, if it doesn’t happen for me, I really don’t mind.’
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
