Reflecting on his 2021 season, Kyrgios began proceedings at the Australian Open and came as far as the third round. Unfortunately, he went down to Dominic Thiem in a thrilling encounter.
After that, he was not seen until the Wimbledon Championships, where he had to withdraw during his match as he was suffering from an abdominal injury. At Wimbledon he was also competing in the mixed doubles with 7-time Grand Slam champ, Venus Williams. However, his injury meant that they had to withdraw from their second-round match as well.
In New York, he lost in the opening round of the final Grand Slam of the year.

He was last seen at the Laver Cup 2021 on a tennis court. His efforts to help Team World win the title went down in vain. Nonetheless, he has set his focus on the upcoming 2022 season. All eyes will be on him when he steps on the tennis courts again.
