Although he is having a great season so far, he is gaining traction for everything but his performances. In fact, his altercation with Markieff Morris and Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat have made all the headlines. And in the aftermath of the incident, Jokic’s deadly brothers came in support of last year’s MVP.

Over the past few weeks, Nemanja and Strahinja Jokic have gained a lot of attention. Seen in the stands during NBA games, fans have raved about how the powerhouse duo look like they will destroy anyone in their path. With the build of titanic giants, they backed their brother after his spat with the Heat. Characteristically, fans went berserk for the Morris brothers vs Jokic brothers fight. Contrary to the hype, Miami’s head coach Erik Spoelstra recently rubbished any claims of a brawl ensuing.

Spoelstra plays down chances of a Jimmy Butler-Nikola Jokic fight

On Monday, the Nuggets did the double on an in-form Miami Heat. Jokic top-scored for his side again, in what was a rampant display. Before the encounter, there were talks of a potential outbreak of a brawl. After all, there was total mayhem when the sides first met this year. After Marcus Morris came in support of his brother online, the Jokic brothers threatened him. In the midst of what unfolded, Butler also had an exchange of words with the overseas star.

When the sides met for the reverse fixture, 32-year-old Butler did not feature. Yet, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra assured before the game that nothing was going to get out of hand. In addition, he added that the NBA would take all the necessary measures to prevent anything from happening. “It’s in the rear view mirror,” he said. “I’m sure NBA security has sent the full team down here. Everybody is going to be on high alert, including the officials. Nothing is going to happen. This is about basketball and also both teams are managing injuries right now.”

In the process, Spoelstra confirmed that the league officials would be on their toes to prevent any violence. Resonating with what he said, there were no undue heated arguments during the game. The final scoreline read 120-111 in favor of Jokic and the Nuggets.
